When building a home based business it crucial that you follow the 6 keys to success that I have listed below.  The reason that you should take head it that you want your home based business to truly be a business and not just a hobby.  You must remember the reasons why you started your business and following these 6 keys will be easy for you.

1.  Build a business for the long term. – In your day to day business your are going to face obstacles.  This is not something that is just unique to business.  Having problems are a part of life.  You will have road bumps and challenges.  Don’t give up on your business just because of this.  It is a part of the journey.  You can’t be “just trying this thing out for 30 days.”  You have to think long term.

2.  Be aware of the emotional rollercoaster. – In the beginning of your business you will go through the emotional rollercoaster.  One minute you are up and one minute you are down.  You are excited one minute and the next minute you are not so excited.  You can come out a meeting or webinar for your primary company and you are “jacked out of your mind!”  You then call your friends and family and they think that you are crazy and you are back down again.  Just realize that this is normal and that everyone goes through it.

3.  Make a decision that you are going to be a leader. All the rewards happen once you become a leader.  You don’t need to know how or what to do.  Once you make the decision that you are going to lead, then the universe will rise up to help you.

4.  Get to work. Get busy trying to find out what you need to do to move the ranks in your primary business and just do it!  The alternative is the 40/40/40 plan.  Work for 40 years for 40 hours a week only to retire on 40% of your income.  Instead, put your all into the next 5 years in your home business and be able to retire and not have to work or worry about money.  What you have to realize that you are compressing 40 years of work into 5 years and that is going to take some commitment and dedication.

5.  Enjoy the process. Whether you in the learning stage or a seasoned pro, enjoy whatever stage you are in right now.

6.  Save your money. If you are going  to become wealthy you need to have money saved.  You don’t want to make tons of money only to spend it on toys that you don’t need.  I’m not saying that you should not have fun with your money but don’t break the bank by living beyond your means.  Always pay yourself first no matter how much money you make.  If you can’t save when you make a small amount then you will not save when you start to make the big money.

Cost and Compensation Plan

You can join Akea Life at 3 levels with the lowest entry point being at $79.  Each package includes marketing tools, business tools, and a personal Akea website.  The compensation plan is a binary structure with one leg on the left and one leg on the right.  Akea Consultants can earn retail profit, team commissions, and various bonuses. Commissions and bonuses are paid weekly.

Is Akea Life a Good Network Marketing Opportunity?

Nothing beats the excitement you feel when you first start to make money online. Ever since I got my first computer I have dreamed of being able to make a six figure income from home.

My motivation has always been simple. I want the freedom to live life on my own terms.  To be able to do what I want when I feel like it. I want to feel the security of having a regular income. Finally I want the spending power to be able to buy what I want and go where I want. Not much to ask.

I now know that I went by the long route when I set out to learn how to make money online. I wasted an enormous amount of time, energy and money on learning things I didn’t need to know and doing things that are a complete waste of time.

The most annoying thing of all was that the gurus who are reaping the amazing rewards of their success are so poor at showing others how they do it. However, they are very good at charging a lot for their information and then making it hard to understand what they mean.

Here are the lessons that I have learned. I consider that they are the real secrets of making money online.

First, start with a niche market.

I know this is different from how people do things in the real world, but in cyber space this is the best place to start. The easiest way is to pick on a group of people just like you. People with whom you share a problem.

Second, find a product that solves their problem.

There are millions of them out there.  I use a funded proposal called MLSP or My Lead System Pro.  This system teaches frustrated marketers how to make money on the internet and has affiliate programs built in that provide income while your are building your primary business.

Third, build a blog about your niche.

By doing this you will be seen as an authority in the whatever niche you choose and this will help you build credibility.

Fourth, drive traffic to that web site.

There are many ways you can do this: Social Media, Article Marketing, PPC, Solo Ads, Banner Advertising, etc.  Just be sure that you master one or two marketing techniques before you move on to learn any new ones.

Imagine my excitement when, by simply applying this formula, I started receiving e-mails saying: “Congratulations, you have a new team member or You just made a sale!”

The excitement grew when I went to my online bank account and saw the money sitting there, right under my name.

And the excitement reached fever pitch when the ‘congratulations’ e-mails started coming in ever-increasing numbers.

My advice is simple; don’t wait, use the simple formula I’ve outlined, be consistent in your marketing efforts and you will be sure to reap the rewards!

As an entrepreneur building your business can be no easy feat.  You have to be able to handle every obstacle that comes along and not let challenges stop you.  You have to be willing to take risks, goal oriented and willing to work until the job gets done.  There are certain traits that all entrepreneurs have in common and below I have listed my top 8.

8.   Entrepreneurs associate themselves with other successful people. Many time when we start off in business we find ourselves jealous of others that are more successful than us.  That is because we have always been taught to have a poverty mindset.  We must re-train our mind to have an abundance mindset so we can realize that we can have the same things that other successful people have.  So go ahead and surround yourself with others that are successful because it will help you to grow.

7.   Entrepreneurs mastermind together. Entrepreneurs can mastermind in a challenge (like the 100 Day Biz Builder Challenge) or at an event (like No Excuses Summit 3) or in an internet marketing community (like My Lead System Pro).  It does not matter how you master mind just so long as you do it.

6.   Entrepreneurs are coachable. Entrepreneurs are receptive to constructive criticism.  They know that it can only help them to get better at what they do.

5.   Entrepreneurs invest in their education. You should not be afraid to learn new things whether it’s by reading, attending a webinar, or attending a live event.  You don’t know what it is that you don’t know.   You may learn just one nugget and that nugget may be worth 10xs more than what you spent.

4.   Entrepreneurs know when to ask for help. You should know what you are good at.  Do those things yourself, but outsource the things that you don’t know because that will save you a lot of time, money and energy!

3.   Entrepreneurs manage themselves, their time, and their business well. You should always make sure that you do what most important first and then do the things that are not as critical.

2.   Entrepreneurs are not afraid to share their knowledge. Many times we are afraid to share the latest marketing technique that we have found.  There is no need for this because 95% of the people you show will not take action.  By sharing what you know you are able to connect the 5% that will take action.

1.   Entrepreneurs have a strong work ethic. That is why many of us don’t get much sleep.  There are so many things on our plates and not enough hours in the day to get them done.  That is why you must set a schedule for yourself and use a system to help you through your daily tasks as you build your business.

Hamlet may not have been talking about network marketing, but his words do apply. Almost every network marketer has experienced the “slings and arrows” of the naysayers, those often well-meaning friends and relatives that stand in the way of our making an “outrageous fortune!” Experienced network marketers, clothed in the armor of past success, are less vulnerable to outside influences. The new distributor, however, is vulnerable, and that “sea of troubles” can act as a barrier to reaching their true potential.

What did the knights of old do to prevent an injury? That’s right – they armed themselves. Their armor was heavy and cumbersome, and they needed a squire to help them prepare for battle. Well, the same is true for your new distributors. While the armor they must use is less cumbersome than that of the knights, you must help them arm themselves for success. In other words, you must be their squire.

What do I mean by “arming for success?”

When a new distributor joins your network marketing organization, they are moving into an environment that demands strong armor. There are a lot of “slings and arrows” that can hurt their chances for success and create a sea of troubles — of doubt, disbelief, even failure.

As Rich Dad, Poor Dad author Robert T. Kiyosaki points out, most people in this world are afraid to experience success. They are held back by negative thinking, and consequently suffer the pain of mediocrity. Because they have not been armed for success, and are more focused on security and survival, they subject themselves to a life of servitude and poverty and being someone else’s employee.

Arm your new distributors from negative thinking and potential disaster. How? By understanding why so many people are negative about network marketing and the prospects of the success it can bring.

Let’s face it. There are a lot of people out there that do not want you to become successful. When you are successful, you point out the lack of success in their lives. When you take away any excuses they’ve been hanging onto and you force them to look at their lives as they really are, it makes them very uncomfortable. You’ve heard of the expression “Misery loves company.” Well, it’s true.

Doug Firebaugh, network marketing guru, calls it the “Unspoken Understanding,” which is simply the silent agreement that most people have with each other, namely “don’t mention my mediocre life, and I won’t mention yours.” Your success and the success of your new distributors, just points out the naysayers’ mediocrity.

Leaders help others. If you are going to be successful in network marketing, you must arm your new distributors against people who will try to convince them their business won’t work.  Show your downline you want them to be successful. Encourage them. Show them how the most successful network marketers have achieved their success, and teach them to model those attitudes, habits, and actions. Remind your distributors that they are the CEO of their lives. Arm them with the power of positive thinking so they don’t let others live their lives for them with their negative attitudes.

In the past year I learned about CPA Networks and even joined a few, but I did not make any money with them until I joined Zip Nada Zilch aka ZNZ.  ZNZ has several offer sites but the ones that I joined are ZNZ One and ZNZ Big Cash. I was was skeptical at first because this program promises to pay cash every day to your Pay Pal account with no out of pocket expense.  I have seen many programs on the internet that promise this but none of them really paid a significant amount.  I was already in the program for about a week but did not take it seriously until I saw a marketer that I have been following and that I have much respect for promoting the program.  I figured there must really be something to this thing!

What is CPA Marketing?

CPA Marketing stands for “Cost Per Action.”  Cost-Per-Action signifies you’ll be paid for every visitor that performs an action on your site, (usually completing a form) and thus turning into a lead for the business.  As a CPA Marketer, you are paid every time someone completes an action. Whether it be filling in their email, zip code, phone number, or address into a form.  You are essentially paid to get leads for companies.

Why do Fortune 500 Companies Need Us?

The Challenge that big companies are having is that their advertising messages are being ignored by traditional means such as TV and Radio.  If your are watching TV and you have Tivo you can fast forward through the commercials or you may take a bathroom break or go to the kitchen to get something to eat.  If you are listening to the radio, you can switch the station or you may be listening to paid radio where you have no commercials at all.  Because of this large companies have turned to the internet to advertise.

What Would You and I Do?

When I first started marketing on the internet, I had no clue what to do.   Everyone kept telling me that I need a nice looking website, to throw some affiliate programs on it, advertise at free classifieds pages, and watch the money roll in. Easy money, right? Yeah right!

“I don’t need anyone to show me how to do this. It shouldn’t be hard at all. Actually, it should be a walk in the park.” Many people probably think like that. So they advertise here and there. Free classifieds. Free advertising. Maybe some forum posting every day. Free traffic, right?

A few days go by. Then a few weeks go by and I made about $30 in sales in one month. I thought that if I continued what I was doing, maybe a miracle will happen.

Not so……

It so very true that the online work at home arena is highly competitive. If you are doing the same thing and keep getting the same results over and over again, not only are you killing your potential for online success, but you are allowing other competitors to pass you by. The only thing that you need to do is to stop and find someone who is already succeeding with their online business. Become like an investigator. Investigate what they do EXACTLY on a daily basis that created that wealth for them.

Here are a few good pointers on what you can do to succeed online:

1) Start Getting Educated……

Again, find someone who is very successful online and see what they are doing on a daily basis that creates their success. Do some detailed research online as to what methods and techniques are working for them and others. You can not succeed if you keep associating yourself with people who aren’t successful online. So you need to take yourself by the hands and start to associate with successful online friends.

2) You need an Auto-responder…..

Before I go into explaining this subject, it is important that you know that you will want to work with an opt in email subscribers who will come to your site and give you their personal permission to send them periodic emails. What you will not want to do is to buy email subscribers. If you do buy them and send them your emails, then this can kill you and your online reputation.

Having and opt-in email list will allow you to free up lots of your time because your prospects will be receiving messages from you periodically and automatically. The nice thing about email marketing is that instead of you having to call them each time you want to promote something, which will take you forever, your auto-responder system will be working for you while you go out and have fun.

Imagine having an opt in list of 10,000 subscribers. If you were to call each one of them to promote one of your programs, think how long it will take you to reach all of them. It would be impossible for you. With email, you can contact them all in a matter of a few seconds or minutes. You write one email and hit the “submit” button, and you are all done.

“If I don’t get an auto-responder and email subscribers, will this cut my chances of succeeding online?”

I am not saying that it will, but if you do get one, your income will just keep growing all the time as your subscribers do.

3) Find a mentor

After you find someone who is very successful online, email them and tell them that you will want to work with them one on one if it is possible. Don’t try going into their training thinking that you know it all. Listen and follow each guideline that they are recommending to you.

This person will be your mentor. Your coach and most of all, your friend.

By stepping out and trying a proven way to make money online, you will begin to see that you too can make a nice income online. And the best advice that I can also give you is to never ever give up. A lot of people are making nice incomes online and so can you. Believe in yourself and you will succeed.

There is so much noise in the market place about join this company and join that company. So many offers come across my desk everyday. I see and hear things like – “Make 25,000 in 30 Days!” or “Make $10,000 with no investment!” or “Get your position while we are in pre-launch!” or “Ground Floor Opportunity!” and the list goes on and on. It can be very confusing to someone new to network marketing. You can’t join and quit your mlm every month or every week. You will never make any money.

No matter what company you choose, always look for the following key qualities that the company you choose should have.

1. The Product – Can your product stand alone outside of your network marketing company at the exact same price point? For example would you buy a $40 bottle of juice from the grocery store? Would you purchase the product even if you were not in your network marketing company or are you just buying because it’s auto shipped to you? Would you use the product even if there is no comp plan attached to it? Do you truly believe in your product?

2. The Team – Is your upline doing internet marketing or a combo of online and offline. Is your team there to truly train you or do they just sign you up and let you sink or swim. Your team support is going to be essential for your success.

3. The Marketing – Does the company allow you to market on the internet? Would you be surrounded by people who market the way that you do? Is you company or team teaching you how to market or are they just telling to do a memory jogger list?

4. Ownership or Management – You have to do careful research on the company leaders. Are they just a bunch of reps who got together and started an MLM company without having experience? Does the management of the company have previous experience running other companies? Does the management embrace online and offline marketing?

5. Compensation Plan - Is it totally built on upfront bonuses? Does the comp plan cut off at a certain level? Do you have to donate your first two to your upline? Are you only getting a dollar a month for each person you bring in?

The are just five key areas that you should look at when you choose a primary network marketing company. So in order to navigate through all of the noise out there, just ask yourself the questions above and I am sure that you will choose the company that is right fit for you!
