The reason that you should take head it that you want your home based business to truly be a business and not just a hobby. You must remember the reasons why you started your business and following these 6 keys will be easy for you.
1. Build a business for the long term. – In your day to day business your are going to face obstacles. This is not something that is just unique to business. Having problems are a part of life. You will have road bumps and challenges. Don’t give up on your business just because of this. It is a part of the journey. You can’t be “just trying this thing out for 30 days.” You have to think long term.
2. Be aware of the emotional rollercoaster. – In the beginning of your business you will go through the emotional rollercoaster. One minute you are up and one minute you are down. You are excited one minute and the next minute you are not so excited. You can come out a meeting or webinar for your primary company and you are “jacked out of your mind!” You then call your friends and family and they think that you are crazy and you are back down again. Just realize that this is normal and that everyone goes through it.
3. Make a decision that you are going to be a leader. All the rewards happen once you become a leader. You don’t need to know how or what to do. Once you make the decision that you are going to lead, then the universe will rise up to help you.
4. Get to work. Get busy trying to find out what you need to do to move the ranks in your primary business and just do it! The alternative is the 40/40/40 plan. Work for 40 years for 40 hours a week only to retire on 40% of your income. Instead, put your all into the next 5 years in your home business and be able to retire and not have to work or worry about money. What you have to realize that you are compressing 40 years of work into 5 years and that is going to take some commitment and dedication.
5. Enjoy the process. Whether you in the learning stage or a seasoned pro, enjoy whatever stage you are in right now.
6. Save your money. If you are going to become wealthy you need to have money saved. You don’t want to make tons of money only to spend it on toys that you don’t need. I’m not saying that you should not have fun with your money but don’t break the bank by living beyond your means. Always pay yourself first no matter how much money you make. If you can’t save when you make a small amount then you will not save when you start to make the big money.
